用钢纤维混凝土修筑路面,就是意将钢纤维均匀地分散于基体混凝土中(与混凝土一起搅拌),并通过分散的钢纤维,减小因荷载在基体混凝土引起的细裂缝端部的应力集中,从而控制混凝土裂缝的扩展,提高整个复合材料的抗裂性。同时由于混凝土与钢纤维接触界面之间有很大的界面粘结力,因而可将外力传到抗拉强度大、延伸率高的纤维上面,使钢纤维混凝土作为一个均匀的整体抵抗外力的作用,显著提高了混凝土原有的抗拉、抗弯强度和断裂延伸率。特别是提高了混凝土的韧性和抗冲击性。
